Origin story: Both teas used in this blend were grown in India - Hathikuli is an organic tea garden in Assam, which in Assamese means "Hathi" (elephant) and "Kuli" (frequent) as it borders the Kaziranga National Park, a refuge for wild rhinos, tigers and elephants who like to visit. This blend is special because it is sprinkled with springs 1st flush of Darjeeling leaves, which are from Ambootia, one of the most well-known tea estates in Darjeeling. In 1994, this tea garden was one of the first to transition to 100% certified organic and bio-dynamic production and became certified Fair Trade in 1994.
